KAMU SAUNA EXPERIENCES

We offer authentic Finnish sauna experiences in wild spaces and community-based places. Our wood-fired mobile sauna will be popping up all over the East Kootenays. Stay tuned for both private and public sauna + forest bathing opportunities in your neck of the woods!

THE MOBILE SAUNA

Our mobile sauna is directly informed and inspired by Juho's experience growing up in Finland. Housed in a durable trailer, the interior is constructed with local wood species and feature walls milled by us from Douglas Fir right from our Forest Farm where we live within ʔamak̓is Ktunaxa.

The 14 ft. trailer houses a 6x8 sauna room with generous changing + rest area. It comfortably seats 6+ people at a time and is heated with our favorite model of Harvia wood sauna stove. "Yes!" this is a proper traditional Finnish sauna with rocks where you can pour water on to create steam, known as löyly. Temperatures can reach 70-90C, depending on your tolerance.

1. Rent the Mobile Sauna

Create your own personal retreat! Our outdoor mobile wood-fired sauna can be delivered anywhere in the East Kootenays for 2+ nights. We will deliver right to your doorstep, cabin or campsite and supply everything you need for warmth and stoke for up to 6+ folks.

2. Private Sauna Experiences

Join us at an outdoor wellness spot nestled within nature for a sweet hang with your friends and loved ones. We take care of set up + sauna is warm when you and your group arrives. Sessions are greeted by a sauna guide, detailing all aspects of safety and traditional sauna teachings.
